I am really glad to see that the almost two-year extensive work of two Organizing Committees crystallized in the very interesting and quite unusual Congress. The uniqueness of this meeting is that it will cover a lot of novel discoveries of basic immunology and, at the same time, demonstrate their direct applicability for unsolved problems of medical immunology and everyday clinical practice. Another exclusive characteristic of this meeting is a remarkable set of presentations from the leading experts in the field shearing their original discoveries, knowledge, and new ideas with all participants and guests. I want to wish everybody to meet many old and new colleagues, friends and collaborators, learn new and share your own ideas, and enjoy the both scientific and social program of the IMD Congress!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Michael R. Shurin.
