Difficulties of differential diagnosis hereditary angioedema р. 18-25

Angioedema is defined as localized swelling of the subcutaneous tissue and submucosal tissue associated with a temporary increase in vascular permeability due to release of vasoactive substances. Angioedema may be mediated by bradykinin or mast cell mediators, including histamine. Hereditary angioedema refers to bradykinin-mediated angioedema. This article discusses the main diagnostic criteria of hereditary angioedema and other forms of angioedema in accordance with the new consensus to suspect the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and adequate therapy.
