Food allergy has different symptoms that requires a correct differential diagnosis in children and adults. In particular, gastrointestinal form of food allergy accompany many primary immunodeficiencies; food intolerance clinically indistinguishable from IgE-mediated forms of food allergy also in some cases difficult; under the guise of allergy to fish meet other reasons. The article main features that can be useful for general practitioners.
